Overview

2020 was an eventful year, one that few of us would like to revisit. Two subjects were constant – Covid-19 and Brexit and they both contribute greatly to this piece of work. The impact of the global pandemic cannot be understated in the impact on people and the scar it will leave economically for years to come. The year brought a free trade agreement with the EU, but this doesn’t mean that Brexit is finished with and the fallout will be felt going forward.

We shall look at how these will shape the recovery going forward, the economic repercussions to overcome, the new challenges we face with reaching net zero carbon emissions, the implementation of modern methods of construction and how we can include social values in the tendering process.
